The Central Mountain and the Central Mountain is Everywhere is a hosting site for auditory explorations. The Acoustic structures shown herein are improvisationally built with a modular system of tabs and bolts. With a stack of traysh wood, common construction materials, and just the right amount of non-guidance, these structures take shape. "I was the Central Mountain and the central mountain is everywhere," is a phrase spoken by a traveler who had a vision of universal subjectivity and described it to his people, who were everywhere.
Exhibit walk-through of Conrad Freiburg's "It Is What It Isn't" at the Hyde Park Art Center. We see the Harmonograph in action as spectral shafts of morning sunlight color the walls, and music from the Pod of Absence accompanies our viewing.
